about

“In a perfect world love is the ultimate drug.”
-Model Man

“Shouldn’t I Be Dead By Now” tells the trials and tribulations of a man who cares about his woman and nothing else, a true hopeless romantic.
Model Man (aka Dj Overdose) was born in The Hague and raised by a single mother. This experience enables him to comprehend the incomprehensible female psyche and thus allowing his injured heart to beat for all of them. His blood contains heartache, love, and sorrow.

Made simply on a dusty EMU Sp12, Korg Poly800 and a Gitano Jx3p, the album starts with an Italo-Wave slow burner just begging for vocals. Then whips through classic ambient Das Boot style submarines and chilling Goblinesque horror before coming home with New Wave electro outerspace and delicate ambient soundscapes. Truly a great listen from start to finish.
